An interesting twist to how this cruise operated was that as the boat traveled north on the river, the buses used to transport customers to the various land-based excursions followed along on the highways. By about 9AM on the morning of Monday, September 13th, the Countess was docked near White Castle, MS. The very same set of buses used to get people from the hotel in New Orleans to the boat was there and waiting to take people to the first excursion destination of the trip.
